Some Davie scenes
Robbins Lodge just before Wilma. Davie allows residents to turn their horses out when a hurricane approaches. Robbins Lodge is big, open, securely bordered, and safe for horses during a storm.
Residents put phone numbers and other identification on their horses to make it easier during the reunion.
The horses can relax and safely weather the storm in the wide-open spaces of Robbins Lodge. Remember, Robbins Lodge is a passive park acquired by the Town of Davie through the 1989 Bond Referendum. The 2005 Bond Referendum has the potential to add to Davie in the same fashion, creating open space and parks for people, and all their four legged friends. |
