A Florida Land Trust: Davie's rich agricultural, rural, and open-space heritage remains under constant and increasing development pressure. The Davie Area Land Trust is a community based, not-for-profit membership organization working to preserve open space, agricultural land, wildlife habitat, scenic preserves, and properties that reflect Davie and the surrounding areas' agricultural and rural past. The Davie Area Land Trust uses conservation easements, education for responsible stewardship of the land, collaboration with property owners, donations, and community support to identify, protect, and preserve our open spaces.

The Davie Area Land Trust relies on community support for membership, volunteer efforts including marketing, fundraising, project identification and management, and for help in creating and maintaining conservation easements.
